Our Commitment
Bortlian Homecare is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We are committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place anywhere in our business or supply chains.
Our Policies
We operate a number of internal policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:
- Recruitment policy — ensuring all staff have the right to work in the UK
- Whistleblowing policy — encouraging staff to report concerns
- Code of conduct — setting out the standards expected of all staff
- Safeguarding policy — protecting the young people in our care
Due Diligence
We undertake due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, and regularly review our existing suppliers. We assess the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and take appropriate action where risks are identified.
Training
All staff receive training on modern slavery and human trafficking as part of their induction and ongoing professional development.
